For a large segment of the second set, Baylor held a comfortable lead and kept the Hearnes Center crowd relatively quiet. Once trailing 19-12, Missouri fought back to 21-19.

After a Katie Sanders kill put Baylor up 22-19, Missouri's Weiwen Wong took over. Wang had two kills and an ace and helped force a Baylor error as Missouri eventually tied the set at 23. However, Baylor responded with two consecutive points give the Bears a 2-0 lead heading into the break between the second and third sets.

The two-set stats tell the story. After two sets, Baylor is hitting .312, and its two big guns, Anna Breyfogle and Katie Sanders are hitting .438 and .423, respectively. Contrarily, Missouri is hitting .163 and has 13 errors to Baylor's six.
