Education
Kinder attended Southeast Missouri State University and MU. He graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, in 1979, and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1980.
Experience
In 1992, Peter Kinder was elected to the Missouri Senate where he served 12 years. In 2001 Kinder was elected President Pro Tem, the top elected official in the Missouri Senate. When Kinder successfully ran for Lt. Governor in 2004, he became only the second sitting President Pro Tem to be elected Lieutenant Governor.
