In the state of Missouri, it is within legal bounds to fire an employee, kick out a tenant or refuse service to a person if he or she is gay or appear to be gay. State Rep. Stephen Webber, D-Columbia, recently introduced a bill that would add sexual orientation to the Missouri Human Rights Act, which would make the above actions illegal.
