Six straight loses finally leads to victory for Tigers
Chants of “S-E-C!” waved a final good-bye to the Longhorns after Missouri upset No. 16 Texas 17-5 on Saturday at Faurot Field. Before Saturday, the Tigers had fallen to the Longhorns for six consecutive years.

Joplin destruction revisited
Maneater editors and reporters visited Joplin six months to the day after the E-F5 tornado tore the town apart. The trip gave a look into how the city has been recovering and what's left to still be rebuilt.
Tigers scrimmage for Joplin charity
The charity scrimmage was initially the idea of first-year MU coach Frank Haith, who said he was moved by what he saw in Joplin when he visited with other athletic officials days after the tornado destroyed the town.
