    Sophomore Emily Colvin talks about transferring to MU from Missouri Southern State University to be part of an environment that is more accepting of the LGBTQ community during a discussion panel on transgender people Wednesday in Memorial Union. Colvin began her transitioning process at the start of this semester and has since been active with the LGBTQ Resource Center at MU.

    Filipino Association of Missouri member Erlinda Burke performs a traditional dance named Pandanggo Sa Ilaw, or 'Dancing with Light,' at the 'Explore the Islands of Paradise!' event Wednesday in Memorial Union. The celebration was in honor of Filipino American Heritage month and provided free entertainment, food and information about the Philippines.
