Chancellor Brady Deaton delivers an update on the university's budget during the spring semester general faculty meeting Thursday in Jesse Wrench Auditorium. Deaton said the increase in out-of-state tuition is projected to reduce out-of-state enrollment by 160 students next year.

ROAR faced issues with the amount of traffic received on its website after opening to allow students to select room assignments. MU issued a public apology after several students had problems using ROAR and weren't able to select a room for the next school year.

Sen. Jane Cunningham, R-Chesterfield, proposed a bill that would make MU track complaints of bias in the classroom. MU already does that and has received one legitimate complaint in the last three years.

This lecture was given through the Saturday Morning Science program, which has offered more lectures this semester due to a large donation from the Monsanto Company of St. Louis.
