Snow traps Chancellor Deaton in New York

MU Chancellor Brady Deaton was trapped in New York on Monday after heavy snowfall closed airports across the northeast. MU spokeswoman Mary Jo Banken said Deaton traveled to New York during the weekend to see an MU opera performance. Deaton and his wife, Anne Deaton, were scheduled to meet with students in Brady Commons on Monday but had to postpone the event, Banken said. A new date for the meeting had not been set Monday afternoon.
