Finding time to go to the tanning salon and go to bars is tough enough. Once you move off campus, you have to fit going to the Laundromat in your schedule, too.
Splasher's Laundry, located at 1804 Paris Road, developed a solution for students' scheduling woes and united the three.
Splasher's has provided tanning services since it came under new management in July 2004.
Manager Rory Dunham said the facility's previous owners set up a beer system inside the Laundromat before new owner James Hundel bought them out, but it took almost a year before Hundel got a liquor license.
"Our theory behind the alcohol was that it was very possible that we would get folks who lived closer to other Laundromats," Dunham said.
Splasher's offers four beers on tap and nine bottled beers, including a Mexican beer and Boulevard Wheat, Dunham said. Splasher's goal is to cater to students.
Dunham said Splasher's has four televisions, one of which is a big screen, as well as a pool table, about a half dozen video games, a pinball machine and a simulated driving game.
"We try to cater to anybody's want and desire, doing laundry is not on anyone's top five to-do's. We try to make experience as pleasant †
