Gender-violence activist Jackson Katz will deliver a lecture on April 3 in Jesse Auditorium.

The lecture, entitled "More than a few good men: A lecture on American manhood and violence against women," will focus on masculinity and violence against women in America.

According to information from Stronger Together Against Rape, one of the many organizations sponsoring the event, Katz is a male activist who works to prevent violence against women through the education of men and boys, especially in sports and in the military.

"He's worked on similar issues that we do, but he works on masculinity and the male point of view," STAR President Rachel Kunce said.

Kunce said STAR was appreciative of all the support it had received for this event, especially from the Organization Resource Group.
