Indecent exposure

MU Police Department officers responded to a reported incident of indecent exposure at 10:50 a.m. on Feb. 26 on Kentucky Avenue near Crowder Hall.

MU police Capt. Scott Richardson said the suspect was masturbating on his knees between two trees outside Crowder Hall, which houses the MU ROTC program. Richardson said the suspect's pants were down and both of his hands were in his genital area.

Capt. Brian Weimer said a witness described the suspect as being between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, wearing blue jeans, a dark sweatshirt that might have been zipped up and a dark stocking cap at the time of the incident. Weimer said the suspect had no facial hair.

Crowder Hall Administrative Assistant Brent Unger said he was not aware of the incident.

"We have no evidence that this alleged event was in any way connected to Crowder Hall, the staff, or any ROTC cadets or midshipmen," Unger said. "We are naturally concerned about any reported acts of voyeurism, but we rely on MUPD to respond to such alleged incidents."

Police have not made any arrests, Richardson said.
