Several Wal-Mart employees told police they were threatened with a razor blade after confronting a woman they believed to be a shoplifter, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

According to the release, employees of the Wal-Mart at 405 E. Nifong Blvd. reported a woman had been shoplifting various items from the store Jan. 11. Employees told police the woman brandished a razor blade when confronted.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.

Police found the vehicle at the Columbia home of Thelma Logan, 56, where she was arrested under suspicion of first-degree robbery and an armed criminal act.

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Department, Logan is no longer facing the robbery or armed criminal act charges but is still being held on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon.

Columbia police declined to release any further information at this time because the case is still under investigation.

Logan is being held in Boone County Jail. At her request, no bond was set at the time of her arrest but has since been set at $4,500.
