Tigers on TV against Colorado
The Tigers and the Big 12 announced Monday that Missouri's Nov. 3 game against the Colorado Buffaloes will be on Fox Sports Net at 5:30 p.m. Like the Oklahoma game, which had the same time slot, the game will be on nationally, provided local FSN affiliates don't have local conflicts. The game will be available in high definition. Saturday's game against Iowa State is not on TV, and the MU has not announced any plans to make the game available for pay-per-view.
But the Big 12 has reserved the right to change this sometime before Sunday. The conference's other TV slots that day are 11:30 a.m. on Versus and ESPN at 6 p.m.
Tiger football ranked No. 13 in everything
For Missouri, if 13 isn't lucky, at least it's common. In the latest polls, the Tigers are ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll, Coaches Poll, Harris Interactive poll and the Bowl Championship Series.
Injury Update
Just like this past week, senior tailback Tony Temple will be listed as probable for Saturday, meaning there is a 75 percent chance he will play, coach Gary Pinkel said.
"A week ago I thought Tony would play," he said. "But that didn't work out. He bruised his ankle again in practice on Wednesday, but we think he'll be out there this week."
Junior safety Justin Garrett will be listed as doubtful after he hyper-extended his right elbow covering a kickoff on Saturday.
"It could take a turn to the good side," Pinkel said. "But right now it doesn't look likely that he'll play."
Brown wins Big 12 honor
Senior safety Pig Brown was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. He had a career-high 14 tackles, including 4.5 for a loss. He intercepted a pass, and deflected another that was picked off by junior defensive end Stryker Sulak and ran back for a touchdown.
The only other Tiger to win the award twice in the same season was cornerback Wade Perkins in 1998.
"It's a great honor, great for our team," he said. "But it wouldn't have happened if not for the other guys on our team. But all I really care about is winning. If I won this 500 times and we didn't win games, then it wouldn't be great."
Tigers early favorites Saturday
The Las Vegas odds makers apparently think highly of Missouri, or just don't think highly at all about Iowa State. The Tigers are early 28.5-point favorites on Saturday.
