The No. 6 Missouri soccer team's incredible run through the Big 12 continued on Friday when the team shut out the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 2-0.
Sophomore forward Michelle Collins and freshman forward Alysha Bonnick both scored for the Tigers in Lubbock, Texas, and junior goalie Mallory Forst earned her second shutout of the year.
The Tigers, who are 9-2, 3-0 in Big 12 play, got on the board in the 21st minute when junior midfielder Mo Redmond set up Collins, who hit a liner past Red Raiders goalie Tina Rincon for her eighth goal of the season.
In the 70th minute, Bonnick scored her eighth goal of the season off an assist from junior Janelle Cordia.
Three minutes later, Redmond saved a Texas Tech penalty kick to help secure the shutout.
The 10 saves Redmond made on Friday were the most in her career.
Even with seven games left this year, MU has already tied the program record for most road wins in a season with four.
The Tigers have already scored 35 goals this season, two more than they scored all of last year.
MU's 3-0 Big 12 start is the best in the history of the program, and it leads the conference with nine points, leading Iowa State by two.
The Cyclones were picked by the media to finish last in the conference.
