Tigers ranked No. 11

Following the 41-6 win against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Missouri moved up six spots to No. 11 in both The Associated Press and coaches' polls. They are just one spot behind Southern California and five behind No. 6 Oklahoma, whom the Tigers face on Saturday.

Daniel wins Big 12 honor

Junior quarterback Chase Daniel was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's win. Daniel was 33-for-47 passing for 401 yards, while also running for 72 more yards and two touchdowns.

Daniel was also nominated for the AT&T All-America Player of the Week award, the winner of which will be announced on Thursday. The other nominees are Michigan senior running back Mike Hart, Texas Tech junior quarterback Graham Harrell and Northwestern junior quarterback C.J. Bacher. Fans can vote by phone for the winner by texting "vote" to 87654.

Temple questionable for Saturday

MU football coach Gary Pinkel said senior tailback Tony Temple will be listed as questionable for Saturday's game after twisting his ankle in the first half of Saturday's game against Nebraska.

"He's day to day," Pinkel said. "He won't practice (Tuesday), but we will evaluate his status officially on Thursday."

But Temple said he expects to play.

"I want to get out there," he said. "The ankle feels fine, and I think I'm going to be out there on Saturday."

College GameDay coming to Norman

The Missouri vs. Oklahoma game will play host to College GameDay next Saturday morning. ESPN's Saturday morning staple has never featured an MU game in the 14 years it has traveled to campus sites.

Hosts Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard will anchor two hours of live coverage beginning at 9 p.m. outside Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Okla.

Fake field goal call finally works

Senior tight end Martin Rucker said when Saturday's fake field goal attempt in the fourth quarter ended in a touchdown, it was the first time that play actually worked.

"We've been running that fake for three years now, and it actually got us into the end zone, which was nice," he said.

The last time the Tigers tried a fake was in last October's 25-19 loss at Texas A&M. Rucker got the ball on the fake that time as well, but he was wrapped up four yards short of the goal line.
