Tigers move up in BCS again
Another win meant another bump up in the polls for the Tigers this week.
They moved to seventh in the Associated Press, Coaches and Harris Interactive polls this week.
But more importantly, they jumped to sixth in the Bowl Championship Series standings, leaping over now-No. 7 West
Virginia, who was idle this week.
Pinkel said his team doesn't look at the rankings, though.
"Not one of our players came in last week and talked about rankings," he said. "Obviously we're aware about where we are, but
it's not important to us just yet."
The Big 12 has three of the top six teams in the BCS, with 9-0 Kansas moving from eighth to fourth this week and Oklahoma checking in at No. 5.
Terrell back as a starter
The only notable change in the depth chart for
Saturday's game against Texas A&M compared to this past week is the reinsertion of senior cornerback Darnell Terrell as the
starter.
Junior Castine Bridges started this past week at Colorado.
Tigers have another
early game at K-State
Those planning a day trip from Columbia to Manhattan, Kan., to see the
Tigers play at the Kansas State Wildcats on Nov. 17 should get on the road before dawn.
The Big 12 announced Monday that the Tigers will play K-State at 11:30 a.m. The game will be aired on Fox Sports Net.
MU's game against No. 4 Kansas in Kansas City on Nov. 24 will either be played at 2:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Net or at 7 p.m. on ABC.
No new injuries
Pinkel said on Monday that aside from senior safety Pig Brown's season-ending Achilles' heel injury, the Tigers are remarkably healthy.
"For the most part we're in really good shape," he said. "We have a few bumps here and there, but other than Pig, everyone's ready to go on Saturday."
