Thompson memorial on Friday

Friends, students and colleagues of Julius Thompson will be able to pay their respects Friday on the MU campus. Thompson was the director of the black studies program for MU.
A memorial service for Thompson will be held on Friday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center. Warren Funeral Chapel will hold the service in the center's multipurpose room.
Thompson died on Oct. 26 at University Hospital.
Thompson's family asked that donations be made to the black studies program at MU or the National Kidney Foundation, Garth said.
