Checking in on Billboard

When I want to hear fresh, new music, I always turn to Clear Channel controlled radio and The Billboard Hot 100. The latter is an invaluable source for finding groundbreaking new artists who are, by all accounts, far underexposed.
I commend Billboard for allowing these would-be unknowns to finally get some of the exposure they deserve. But glancing at the list of the top 10 songs right now, I am only familiar with one.
Clearly, I must be out of touch with quality music, but this presents me with a golden opportunity. I am going to look at the lyrics for a few of the top 10 hottest songs in the nation right now and judge what they are like without ever having heard the actual songs in their entirety.
