The MU women's soccer team finished the preseason 1-0-1 after a 1-1 tie against Saint Louis on Sunday. The Tigers defeated Indiana 5-0 on Aug. 20.

Hardy Ricks to begin opener
Missouri announced Monday that sophomore Hardy Ricks will begin at cornerback against Illinois on Saturday at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. He beat out freshman Carl Gettis, who had been getting playing time with the first string defense last week during practice.
Redshirt freshman Jeremy Maclin, who blew out his knee last year in August before ever playing a down, will make his college debut returning punts and kickoffs. He is listed
second as slot wide receiver behind Donario Alexander.
