Saturday, SEPT. 22

Police are investigating the theft of a commemorative coin at 2:56 p.m. The coin was taken from the bag of a student at the football game. The bag had been left in the bleachers, and the coin is valued at $10.

Monday, SEPT. 24

Police are investigating an incident of vandalism at 902 Conley Ave. between 7 a.m. on Aug. 24 and 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 24. Several messages were written in a bathroom stall in a second floor restroom in the Arts and Science Building. A work order is already in place to clean the stall.

Police are investigating the theft of frozen steaks and seafood from a truck in the University Hospital emergency room parking lot. The theft occurred between 3:10 a.m. and 3:14 a.m. The vehicle was left unlocked. The meat was from the Iowa Steak Company and is valued at $487.

Police are investigating the theft of several items from a car outside 1000 Elm St. between 12:46 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The left rear window of a green Acura was broken and items missing include a Sony laptop, a laptop case and an overnight bag containing an Apple iPod. The laptop is valued at $1,800, the case at $20 and the iPod at $200.

Police are investigating the theft of several items from Stafford Hall between 10 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 12:36 a.m. on Sept. 25. The door was not locked and there was no sign of forced entry. Items missing included an Apple laptop, an Apple iPod nano, a 30 GB Apple video iPod, four student admission football tickets, a brown bi-fold Tommy Hilfiger wallet, a Bank of America debit card and a copy of NCAA Football 08 for Playstation 2. The laptop is valued at $2,000, the iPod nano at $150, the iPod video at $250 and the NCAA 08 video game at $59. The wallet is valued at $20 and contained $1 and a driver's license.

Tuesday, SEPT. 25

Police are investigating the theft of several items from a room in Wolpers Hall between 1:30 a.m. and 1:50 a.m. While the room's occupant was in the basement doing laundry, a silver Apple MacBook Pro, a MacBook Pro charger, a wallet, a cell phone, a graphing calculator and a half roll of quarters were stolen. The door was left unlocked. The next day, a custodial worker found the wallet and the cell phone at a water fountain.

Police are investigating the theft of a 30 GB white video iPod between 10 a.m. Sept. 24 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 25. The iPod was in a black case with Sony earphones. The iPod was taken out of its case and is valued at $250.
