Employees of a local business were outside smoking after work Saturday when they were approached by a group of juveniles with a gun demanding money.
Sgt. Barbara Buck of the Columbia Police Department said 10 to 15 male juveniles approached the employees around 9 p.m. She said one of the juveniles held a handgun and demanded the 32-year-old victim's wallet. When the victim handed the armed suspect his wallet, the suspect looked though it quickly and returned it back to the victim.
"Nothing was taken from the wallet," Buck said.
The suspects then fled the scene.
The business is located in the 200 block of Park Avenue, police said in a release.
