KCOU/88.1 FM leaders began a 'Save KCOU' campaign this week, which includes a Web site and posters critical of the Missouri Students Assocation. KCOU has been a student-run campus radio station since 1963, but will need about $200,000 in funds to cover expenses to continue to broadcast.

The KCOU/88.1 FM radio tower, which has sat atop Hudson residence hall for 30 years, will lose power when the hall closes for renovations in January. Buying either a new tower or installing a power supply to the old tower would cost $30,000 or $36,000, respectively.
