At about 10:21 p.m. Friday, the Columbia Police Department responded to a knife assault call in the Forest Village Apartments, located at 3001 S. Providence Road.
Shortly after arriving on the scene, police found the suspect and the victim of the stabbing outside of the apartment, a CPD news release stated. CPD arrested John G. Sasek, 42, who also lived in the Forest Village apartments.
"The suspect and the victim knew each other," Sgt. Barbara Buck said. "They were roommates."
