Tigers’ road woes continue
Feb. 1, 2008
For the second consecutive game, the MU women’s basketball team had trouble converting on the offensive end. The result was a 62-43 loss to the Texas A&M Aggies, Missouri’s second consecutive loss in the state of Texas.
The loss drops the Tigers to 8-12 overall and 1-6 in Big 12 play. Freshman forward Shakara Jones went 7-of-8 from field goal range to lead the Tigers with 15 points, and junior guard Alyssa Hollins contributed another 12.
Missouri actually outshot Texas A&M, 42.6 percent to 36.7 percent. But the Aggies shot 17 free throws to MU’s two and created 29 Missouri turnovers.
The Tigers return to Mizzou Arena on Sunday against Nebraska in need of a win to snap a six-game losing skid.
