Athletes charged in nightclub fight

Boone County Prosecutors charged MU basketball players Jason Horton, a senior guard, and Stefhon Hannah, Horton’s former teammate, with third-degree assault Friday in connection with a fight outside the Athena Nightclub in downtown Columbia on Jan. 27.
According to previous Maneater reports, the incident left Hannah with a broken jaw.
He was taken to University Hospital where he received surgery.
Hannah was dismissed from the team last Tuesday for missing two weeks of classes.
Prosecutors charged the two seniors after they were involved in a fight outside the nightclub.
The Boone County Prosecutors Office could not be reached for comment Monday afternoon.
