SUV strikes pedestrian

A male driving a black Toyota 4Runner SUV hit a pedestrian Monday night on the MU campus, police said.
The Toyota was traveling eastbound on Rollins Street. The accident took place shortly before 7 p.m., MU Police Department Capt. Brian Weimer said.
MUPD Officer Justin Patlan was on the scene.
The female victim was taken to University Hospital in a Boone County ambulance at approximately 7:15 p.m., Weimer said.
Her condition is unknown as of press time.
Patlan and the male driver remained on the scene until approximately 7:30 p.m.
University Hospital and MUPD declined to comment until more information regarding the accident is obtained.
