Carroll had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers, who were outrebounded 42-31 by the Huskers. "I just didn't see the energy in our guys," Carroll said, regarding the Tigers' defensive performance.

Lyons, recruited by former MU coach Quin Snyder, is one of several previous generation players who are still trying to mesh into coach Mike Anderson's style of play. 'I want to make the NCAA tournament while I'm here,' Lyons said.

Coach Mike Anderson said he was disappointed in his team's performance and this season did not live up to his expectations, specifically a berth in the NCAA tournament. Anderson cited 'inconsistencies' throughout the season but said with better, more experienced players that fit his style of play, the Tigers will see success in the future.

Center Kalen Grimes dunks after a breakaway in the first half of play in the Black and Gold Game in 2006 at Mizzou Arena. Grimes has since been dismissed from the team after being charged for assault in Florissant.
