MU junior accused of vandalism
The incident occurred at Center Hall
April 8, 2008
A junior was arrested on suspicion of institutional vandalism after he punched and elbowed a display screen on the Center residence hall key card kiosk, MU police Capt. Brian Weimer said.
Jonathan M. Rendine stands accused of causing $1,200 in damage after he broke a device that can give students a temporary room key if they enter their student ID and a PIN number.
“Evidently this guy wasn’t able to get in, and he became frustrated,” Weimer said.
Rendine’s address is listed at Center Hall. He was sent to Boone County Jail but has been released.
