No leads in Sunday sexual assault

Columbia police have made no developments in a case of sexual assault reported by a 24-year-old Columbia woman Sunday afternoon, according to Columbia Police Department Detective Sgt. Ken Hammond.
He said the assault occurred between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. after a man offered to give the woman a ride as she was walking home on Rangeline Road. She was walking to a friend’s house, after spending part of the night at Cody’s Original Roadhouse.
The woman told police she didn’t know the man.
The man was in a four-door sport utility vehicle, but the vehicle’s make, model and color are unknown.
The assault occurred inside the vehicle. There were no weapons involved.
