Man robbed Wednesday morning on Towne Drive

A victim had various belongings stolen Wednesday morning from his home.

A victim had his cell phone, money and food taken during a robbery Wednesday morning, according to a Columbia police news release.

At about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the 1600 block of Towne Drive, an assailant approached the 20-year-old victim and demanded his cell phone and money. The robber is identified as a dark-skinned male, approximately 5-foot-11-inches tall, 160 pounds and a slender build.

Wearing a ski mask and displaying a gun, the robber took the victim's cell phone, wallet, which was reported as containing no money, a bag of potato chips and soda, and then forced the victim to the ground. Afterward, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
