MU police arrested three Columbia men on Saturday for the Sept. 17 robbery of an MU student on the Francis Quadrangle.

Stafford D. Lambert, 19, was released Saturday evening, while Michael J. Zellmann, 21, and Demetrius O. Edwards, 18, were arraigned Monday on a felony charge of second-degree robbery. Bond was set at $50,000 for Zellmann and Edwards. They were being held at the Boone County Jail Monday afternoon.

MU Police Department Capt. Brian Weimer declined to release details of the arrests, citing the ongoing investigation.

At 12:10 a.m. on Sept. 17, a 21-year-old MU student reported he had been robbed between Engineering East and Switzler Hall, according to a police news release.

The victim said the assailants pulled him to the ground, kicked him and stole his cell phone and wallet. He said he was not injured and refused medical attention, police said.
