The Columbia Police Department made an arrest in the Bandana's Bar-B-Q restaurant robbery.

Officers arrested Victor Lee McNeary Jr., 33, last Thursday during a felony traffic stop near his home at the 3600 block of Scott Boulevard, according to a police news release.

After being taken into custody, McNeary was brought to police headquarters and questioned by investigators. Police also searched McNeary's home after investigators obtained a search warrant.

McNeary was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

McNeary was taken to the Boone County Jail, where he is being held without bond.

The Bandana's Bar-B-Q restaurant, 1705 N. Providence Road, was robbed last Monday.

Two employees were opening the restaurant at about 8 a.m. when a man came in the back door and struck one of the employees in the back of the head, the release stated.

The man then demanded cash, locked the employees in the restaurant's freezer and fled on foot.
