Despite close vote, Missouri's U.S. Reps strike down bailout

The U.S. House of Representatives voted against a $700 billion bailout bill Monday that would have given the government unprecedented control to alleviate the ongoing financial crisis. Of Missouri's nine representatives, five voted against the bill, though House Minority Whip Roy Blunt voted in favor of the legislation.
