MU lacks funds for Ellis Fischel construction

The planned construction of a new Ellis Fischel Cancer Center at MU has been suspended due to a lack of money from the Lewis and Clark Discovery Initiative fund from the sale of the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority. Statewide, more than $350 million of expected assets are unavailable, including $51.2 million intended for MU.
