The Columbia Police Department seized 400 doses of hallucinogenic mushrooms and 23 grams of marijuana and arrested two people during a search Tuesday night.
CPD's Narcotics Unit and the MUSTANG Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 213 Willow Way.
Jason Wolfe, the 31-year-old resident, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a CPD news release.
Police said the amount of drugs found resulted in the charges.
"We found 23 grams of marijuana, which warranted a misdemeanor," CPD Sgt. Brian Richenberger said.
Elizabeth Aronson, 20, of 410 Wilkes Blvd. who was in the house at the time of the search, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of controlled substance, the news release stated.
Both Wolfe and Aronson were arrested without incident.
Police also found drug paraphernalia when searching the residence.
Richenberger said this search was different from previous ones because of what was found in the residence during the search.
"The search was unique because we found that the suspect was manufacturing a large amount of chocolate coated mushrooms," Richenberger said.
Evidence of ongoing drug use and drug paraphernalia was found in the residence, the release stated.
