Craig Stevenson, the Associated Students of the University of Missouri Board of Directors chairman, has advocated for the student perspective during his time at MU.
Stevenson expanded his advocacy for a voting student curator from MU's campus to the state capitol in Jefferson City. He said students have a right to help make university decisions because they pay a significant amount of the bills.
He was also a driving force behind the Textbook Transparency Act that was signed into law last summer in an effort show students and faculty the differences between editions and who actually runs book buyback efforts, all in an attempt to save students money.
After graduating this month, Stevenson will attend graduate school at MU for public affairs after his wedding Aug. 8.
