Later in the day, the squad broke down Morehead State and came away with the win in four sets (25-15, 23-25, 25-19, 25-8), holding their opponents to a meager .075 hitting percentage.

Klein led the Tigers with 50 kills on 118 total attacks. Medrano and Ampudia stepped up to combine for a total of 61 kills throughout the tournament including big performances against VCU in the opening match.
