The MU Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying two possible suspects and vehicles from a March 7 robbery near Conley Avenue Garage, an MUPD news release stated.

The victim's credit card was used at 2:49 a.m. March 7 at the Petro Mart 42 located at 1004 N. Stadium Blvd., the news release stated. MUPD would like to identify the people and vehicles caught on surveillance at the location.

"The card was used at that location, and that's why we went to the location to recover the tape," MUPD Capt. Brian Weimer said.

MUPD would like the community to identify a silver or white four-door passenger car, possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix, and a dark gray or tan four-door passenger car, possible a Nissan Sentra, the news release stated.

The victim reported he was robbed at gunpoint between 2:30 a.m. and 2:40 a.m., and his wallet and cellular phone were taken, the news release stated. The weapon was described as a small silver semi-automatic handgun.

The suspects were seen running north on Sixth Street toward Stewart Road, and eventually the suspects turned west onto Stewart Road, the release stated.

Anyone with information about the robbery or those on surveillance are encouraged to call MUPD Detective Michael Laughlin or use Crime Stoppers. Information that leads to arrests can yield up to $1,500 in rewards.

Weimer said when those types of notifications are sent out to students, the response to the request for assistance can be varied.

"Sometimes we get none," Weimer said. "Sometimes we get immediate (responses). We'll take any information people can give us."

Weimer said no arrests have been made as of Thursday.
