Matt Akins formed Citizens for Justice in 2010 after noticing what he felt was a pattern of police misconduct. Citizens for Justice is an interactive community resource that aims to hold law enforcement agencies accountable for their actions.
This is his account of the interactions with CPD that led him to join Stephen Wyse's lawsuit against the Columbia Police Department and Boone County Prosecutor Daniel Knight.
