Columbia resident hit with bottle

The incident occurred early Friday morning.

A Columbia resident was hit with a bottle on East Broadway on Feb. 29, police said.

Police were called to the scene at 1:51 a.m.

According to a news release from the Columbia Police Department, officers found the victim with lacerations on his head when they arrived at the scene.

Witnesses identified Michael Glasgow, who was on the scene when the police arrived, as the person who hit the victim with the bottle.

Glasgow was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, possession of false identification and as a minor in possession, as stated in the news release.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was later released.
