MU police arrested 22-year-old Tyree J. Reed Thursday afternoon on suspicion of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The arrest was in relation to a shooting incident in early May on campus.

At about 10 p.m. May 6, two shots were fired near Traditions Plaza, according to the MU Alert website. No injuries were reported.

At the time of his arrest, Reed told police he was no longer a student at MU, according to the Columbia Daily Tribune. However, he is still listed in the MU Directory as a junior in General Studies.
